BRIEF: Natural gas-powered trucks on way to Israel

The importers of Mercedes, Scania, and Iveco trucks have already applied for import licenses for natural gas-powered trucks.The Ministry of Transport is preparing the import requirements for the trucks, including the necessary infrastructures, maintenance, and safety measures.When the trial is completed and conclusions have been drawn, regular imports of natural gas-powered trucks and cars will be permitted.Delek Gas, a u儲存倉it of Delek Group Ltd. (TASE: DLEKG), controlled by Yitzhak Tshuva, who controls of one of Israel's main natural gas companies through its rights in the Tamar and Leviathan fields, is urging the use of natural gas for transportation. Delek Gas and the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources will build the first natural gas fuel station at the company's site in Ashdod.
